Kohnjoy Inn is a motel-type facility with 16 individually heated and air-conditioned guest rooms, two of which are handicapped accessible. Except for the handicapped rooms that have a double bed and a single bed, the others have two double beds. Each room has a private bath, desk and chairs. Upper level rooms have bathtubs with showers and lower level rooms have showers only. A minimum two-night stay is required for weekend retreats. To view the housing layout, please click here.

Thornburg Hall is a two-story center with 36 rooms containing an assortment of double and single rooms accommodating as many as 65 adults. Renvoations done in early 2014 include new carpet and bathroom configuration (sink and toilet private to room), and in-room heating and cooling units. Rooms are arranged in suites with connecting baths with four rooms having private baths. A layout of the building with bed configuration per room can be found here.

Bacot Center is centrally heated bi-level house that accommodates up to seventeen people. Of the nine bedrooms, six contain two single beds, one contains only one double bed, and two have a double and a single bed. There are two bathrooms on each floor. There is a kitchen, dining area, and living/meeting area. Dishes, cups, flatware, pots, and pans are not provided. Each level has a working fireplace. Carla and H&H Cottages are centrally heated, carpeted, and can sleep up to 12 people. Each cottage contains three bedrooms with a private bathroom with a shower. The beds are bunks with one bedroom having a double bed with a single bunk over it and a single bed with a single bunk over it; the second room has a double bed with a single bunk over it. The third bedroom has two single beds with a single bunk over each. Both cottages have a living/meeting area offering a gas fireplace and a small kitchen. Lakeside Village offers six centrally heated cottages with a deck and a sleeping capacity of up to 10. Each cabin has two bedrooms with private bathroom with a shower. There are two sets of bunks in each bedroom with one bottom bunk being a double bed. The cottages have a living/meeting area offering a couch, table and chairs, and a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. Beam Cottage is centrally heated cottage with two sleeping rooms containing five sets of single bnk beds each. Beam can accommodate up to 20 people with the potential of two additional in a small room off of the main room. There are two bathrooms with several toilet and shower stalls in each. There is a living/meeting room wth a fireplace and a small galley kitchen. Dishes, cups, flatware, pots, and pans are not provided. Bed and bath linenes are not provided. Doris Whisnant Youth Retreat offers six Wilderness Cabins, each having four bunk beds in one sleeping area sleeping up to eight. There is also a bunk bed to accommodate an additional two people in a smaller room. In each cabin the bathroom has a shower in addition to the sink and toilet. The Bischoff Youth Center is the meeting area for the Wilderness Cabins, equipped with a light industrial kitchen and fireplace in the large meeting area. There is a group minimum of 30 to use the Whisnant Village. Bed and bath linens are not provided. A layout of the Whisnant Village can be found here.

Pioneer Cabins are located in Pioneer A and Pioneer B. Each area contains ten non-heated cabins. Each cabin will sleep eight in one sleeping area (4 upper and 4 lower bunks). There is also a bunk bed to accommodate an additional two people in a smaller room. There is a bathroom in each cabin containing a shower, in addition to a sink and toilet. The Pioneer cabins are open seasonally from April to mi-October. Bed and bath linens are not provided.

Crow’s Nest Retreat Center is a year-round, two-story retreat center with fifteen rooms with private baths and heating. Eleven rooms have two double beds and are accessible from the main building. Four rooms have one double bed with private entrances (Hermitage rooms). Four of the fifteen rooms are equipped with bathtub/shower with the remaining rooms showers only. There is a meeting room, large lounge area with a wood-burning fireplace, large windows overlooking the mountains, a dining room, and a light industrial kitchen. There is a lounge on the bottom floor with a micro kitchen for the hermitage rooms. The center is handicapped accessible as well as air-conditioned. Bed and bath linen is provided. A two-night minimum stay is required for weekend retreats. A building layout has been provided here.

The Moretz Lodge is a “quad” cabin with four separate sleeping areas, each sleeping 10 people on five sets of single bunk beds. Each sleeping area also has its own private shower and bathroom. Connecting the four sleeping spaces is a central gathering room with a full kitchen. The Moretz Lodge also has a comfortable deck and is open year-round. The Stone Lodge is a heated house accommodating up to 15 people. The bottom floor has two bedrooms each with two sets of bunk beds; one bottom bed is a double bed. There is a loft with eight single beds. There is a kitchen, dining area and living area with a wood-burning stove on the bottom floor. There are two bathrooms with showers. The Stone Lodge is open seasonally: April 15th through November 1st. A building layout can be downloaded here.

The Founder’s Lodge is a dormitory style facility with two sleeping areas (accommodating 24 each). Each bedroom is equipped with a bathroom with several shower stalls. There is a main room with a wood-burning fireplace and a full kitchen. The Main Lodge is not heated and is open seasonally: April 15th through November 1st.

Lutherock Cabin Village has eight cabins, each accommodating 10 people. Each cabin is an open sleeping area and a bathroom with a shower. One cabin is handicapped accessible. These cabins are not heated and are open seasonally: April 15th through November 1st.

Platform Tents: There are eight platform tents with six accommodating up to 9 each and two accommodating up to 7 each. There is a bathhouse nearby with bathrooms and showers. The platform tents are open seasonally: June 1st through August 1st. 


Luther Springs

A Recreational Vehicle/Travel Trailer area and Tent Campground containes 14 RV sites (all have water and electrical hookup; 4 with sewer hookups) and is open year round. Charcoal grills, fire ring areas, picnic tables, 10 primitive tent sites with centrally located water and nearby full service shower and toilet facilities are alson available in the area. An RV dump station is on site. A second tent camping area is located closer to the lake, with its own fire ring, picnic tables, and nearby restrooms. All sites are wooded. The Kinports Retreat Center is available for meetings or rental (with advance reservation) to groups using the campground. 

Kuehner Conference Center includes the St. Peter House, Fair Haven, and St. Stephen Houses. The St Peter House is comprised of six hotel-style rooms, each room is carpeted, heated/air-conditioned, has a queen bed, bunk bed and private bath. Fair Haven and St Stephen Houses are the newest additions to Luther Springs. These three units (including the St Peter House), have a total of 18 rooms that can accommodate up to 48 people at a time in high comfort facilities. Bed and bath linens are provided for guests. Connecting these two buildings is the Schmertmann Meeting Room. A full online gallery will be coming soon.

Morgan Village is an area of 4 cabins with sleeping accommodations for up to 11 people. Each cabin is carpeted and has heat/air-condition and restroom facilities; one cabin is fully handicapped accessible. The four cabins surround a centrally located fire ring and picnic tables. Bed and bath linens are available for an extra charge. Morgan Village is a great place for larger groups to stay during then-summer season. A full online gallery will be coming soon.

The Holy Trinity House is currently available for guest groups at Lutheranch. The house is two stories and has eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms. There is a full kitchen, two gathering areas, and screened porch. The beds range from a queen and double to singles in a combination of bunk beds and regular beds. Bed and bath linens are provided.
