CrossTraining is an extended Christian outdoor Leadership Expedition which combines rock climbing, backpacking, and whitewater rafting along with group discussion, Bible study, and a “solo” self-reflection experience to provide LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE, OUTDOOR SKILLS and FAITH DEVELOPMENT. Participants learn how to pack gear, cook a backcountry meal, and camp without leaving a trace. In climbing, campers learn skills such as tying knots, belaying, and rappelling which fosters trust and confidence. Campers are fully emerged in a safe Christian setting where campers participate in Bible study and engage in faith-forming discussions and develop as a leader. The duration and intensity of the program provide for a transformational experience. This program begins and ends at Lutheridge and is 2 weeks (July 14-27).
