Our Programs > Adult > Luther Springs

Adults and families need Christian community too.  Our program directors are nationally known for the quality of programming that they provide and for the quality of study leaders and clinicians they bring in from nationally known musicians to bishops of the church.  Adults are given time to just unwind, but also time to deepen friendships and focus on the things that are most important in their lives.  Families grow in faith together and make memories that they will carry with them forever.

Adventures and growth in faith isn’t just for kids anymore.  Adults are seeking adventure and the development of new skills.  Adults also seek to grow in their relationships with one another while unwinding from the stress and demands of daily life.

Programs for those aged 50+ are receiving special attention as our churches are seeing growth in this demographic group.

RESPITE IN THE WILDERNESS-A SPIRITUAL RETREAT for Rostered Leaders and Church Professionals at Luther Springs

 Respite in the Wilderness

April 18-20, 2017 (Tuesday-Thursday)
Praying, Preaching, and Practicing the Faith

Sometimes the Holy Spirit calls us not OUT OF the wilderness but drives us INTO it. Embracing such a time of rest and reflection, this event’s sessions will provide resources for personal spirituality and for gospel proclamation. Presentation topics will include Lutheran insights for daily prayer and spirituality, constructive principles for how to share Christian witness in a time of political divisions, and examination of preaching as both a personal spiritual practice and evangelical opportunity.

The presenter is Dr. Martin Lohrmann, assistant professor of Lutheran confessions & heritage at Wartburg Theological Seminary (Dubuque, IA). Among other publications, he is the author of Book of Harmony: Spirit and Service in the Lutheran Confessions and a contributor to The Annotated Luther, Volume 4: Pastoral Writings.

GOD'S SPA FOR WOMEN at Luther Springs

 God's Spa

April 21-23, 2017 (Friday-Sunday)
Theme: Treasured!Just as a treasure hunter searches for hidden jewels and buried riches, we seek out and treasure God's Word. You are the precious daughter of your heavenly Father, who claims you as His own. From a plain old lump of coal to a dazzling diamond, you are transformed in Christ. You shine brilliantly as you reflect God's glory.  Explore the Bible and take a unique look at His treasures for you. During our weekend together, we will worship and have times of reflection, engaging conversations, great food, participate in a service project, inspirational music, and meet many new friends. We will also have many spa type activities such as massages, paraffin dips for hands, soothing treatments for our feet, guided meditation, and more during our weekend together.  Far greater than the value of any earthly treasure, God's precious Word points the way to Christ, "in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Colossians 2:3).
