Heritage Campaign Exceeds Goal!pool

Thanks to a bequest received at year end 2015, the Heritage Campaign exceeded the goal of raising $2.13 million to prepare Lutheridge and Lutherock to serve the next generation of campers and guests.  Over $2 million in planned gifts were also committed to help insure the long-term future of the camps.

All campaign projects have been completed and funded with the exception of the tent village that should be completed prior to summer 2017.  Lineberger Dining Hall was remodeled; air conditioning and a storage room were added.  Thornburg Hall was also remodeled with a new heating/air conditioning system installed with individual heat controls in each room.   The Mission Hall apartments were remodeled and the gate house section of the entrance road was resurfaced.  A tithe of campaign proceeds went toward Lutheranch land acquisition, and the featured new project was the Staff Alumni Swimming Pool.

$2 million in planned gifts included a bequest to establish an endowment to ensure the new pool is well cared for and another commitment established an endowment to care for the Moretz Cabin at Lutherock.  A Heritage Campaign report is being published in spring 2016 and you can request a copy by contacting Margo Rabon at .  Thanks to everyone who made the campaign a big success and to Campaign Director, Rev. Jan Setzler, who was assisted by Libby Bedenbaugh, Sr. Development Associate.
