Hooray for Summer! The BEST season of the whole year. And we are preparing the BEST week of each child’s summer! That means:

  • Activities you cannot do during the school year: Playing outside from morning until night! Catching fireflies, roasting marshmallows,
  • Making new friends and hating to say good-bye,
  • Silly skits and songs, games galore! Who needs TV?
  • Bible stories that come to life: lessons learned by living them,
  • New skills and adventures: make a craft or climb a mountain!
  • Counselors who model Jesus, always watching, teaching, and caring.
  • Providing for faith formation of young people as well as leadership development for the Christian church

Please know your child’s safety and faith development is our chief concern. At Lutheridge, Lutherock, and Luther Springs, our staff are carefully screened through extensive background checks and interviews, selected, and trained to be responsible care-givers and model faith. We are very proud of them. Your child will be part of a small cabin or adventure group with a college-age counselor always present. Christian community, making friends, and teamwork are stressed. Active Bible study and creative devotions offer each day to God. Programs at Lutheridge include activities such as crafts, swimming, games, hikes, singing, and campfires. At Lutherock, campers participate in the Group Interaction Course, ropes courses, loop hike, rockslide, ice cream making, singing, and campfires. Luther Spring campers participate in activities such as swimming, crafts, archery, singing, and campfires. Creativity is stressed so campers learn to dream up their own fun and every week is different than any other.

Our goal is for each camper to have fun, grow in skills and self-esteem, make new friends, and draw closer to Jesus - the best friend of all. We promise to do all we can to make this happen. Opportunities to Get Inspired at Lutheridge

  Grandparents Camp at Lutheridge

June 26-29 and July 17-20, 2016 (Sun-Wed)

Last year’s camp was a huge success! Grandparents loved sharing the joys of camp and passing on faith to their grandchildren. Three nights of great fun for kids (ages 5-12) and their grandparents (of any age). Counselors take the kids in the morning, while grandparents have Bible study and free time (Break!). Afternoon and evenings are scheduled with activities kids love to do together - swimming, crafts, games, campfires - with counselors there to help. The kids will be tired by bedtime! And they will make new friends - including growing closer to Jesus, the best friend of all.

  July 4th Family Camp at Lutheridge

June 28-July 4, 2016

This is a wonderful, stress-free, faith-filled family vacation - for all generations. Invite your friends and neighbors! Adults enjoy morning Bible study and free time while kids are with counselors having fun adventures and Bible study of their own. In the afternoons and evenings, there are family activities scheduled - including swimming, crafts, canoeing, and a campfire. An outing into Pisgah Forest and creative July 4th festivities are included. 

*Optional: rafting, caving, or horseback riding (for an additional fee)

  Music Week for Adults at Lutheridge

July 10-16, 2016

Join us for sacred music in the midst of God’s creation and Christian Community! Choral, organ, handbells, recorders, and instrumental music... all led by excellent and inspired clinicians! Whether you are the director of church music or just enjoy singing in a choir, you will be refreshed in the joy of Music Week at Lutheridge.

This is a great option for Music Week campers who have graduated from high school to attend the adult track but live in a cabin group. (With no counselor!) Housing in Beam Cottage (cabin-style lodging with bunk beds and group bathroom facilities)

   NEW!! Grandkids-n-Me Camp at Lutherock

July 24-30, 2016 (Sun-Wed)

This half week program is a great opportunity for grandparents and grandchildren to go to camp together, where they can unplug and focus on their relationship with one another and with God. Grandparents and grandchildren (ages 3-12) will share in the fun of on-site activities such as campfire programs, hikes, games, and Bible study time with Lutherock counselors. You will also get to enjoy some off-site adventures like walking across the mile-high swinging bridge at Grandfather Mountain State Park, swimming and canoeing at nearby WildCat Lake, or riding the train at Tweetsie Railroad (additional cost)! Housed in Lutherock’s hotel-style retreat center.

Throwback to when you were a kid playing outside without a care in the world! Together we’ll disconnect from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives to reconnect to what really matters: community, experiences, and our faith. This half week will be PACKED with lots of adventure options including: hiking on Lutherock’s property, rock climbing, caving, ziplining, and whitewater rafting. Add in the fun of evenings around the campfire, games, and Bible study time, and it will be just like the summer camp you remember from your childhood: pure, unADULTerated fun! Housed in Lutherock’s hotel-style retreat center.

June 19-22, 2016 (Sun-Wed)

GRANDPARENTS & GRANDKIDS (ages 5-12)! Join us for a Grand Week at camp! Enjoy four days and three nights of spiritual growth, bonding, and fun. Our time together will include worship, Bible study, exploring creativity, sharing stories, campfires, canoeing, cookie baking, crafts, hiking, archery, swimming, and plenty of family free time. Children may stay with their grandparent(s) in motel-style rooms in the Kuehner Center or in Morgan Village Cabins with a Luther Springs counselor. Each cabin is carpeted, heated/air-conditioned, and has its own restroom.
