2nd Annual Lutheranch Round-Up
Heavy rain throughout the week prompted the 2nd Annual Lutheranch Roundup to be moved under the roof of the Horse Arena in the “ranch and barn area,” but it didn’t dampen the spirits of 150 people throughout the southeastern U.S. who converged on Lutheranch for the Roundup. While those present didn’t get to visit the building site for the new retreat center, they enjoyed seeing the barn and horse arena, and many toured the Holy Trinity (retreat) House. An arts auction raised over $4,000 to support Lutheranch annual operations. The “Needs and Deeds” section of the LINK newsletter lists a large cadre of volunteers who volunteered their time and talents to coordinate the Roundup.
Most of those present at the Round-up had made commitments to “Standing on the Promise,” the campaign to raise funds to build the new multiple-use retreat center at Lutheranch. Libby Bedenbaugh, campaign director, indicated that 20 congregations are conducting campaigns this spring, but there is still time for congregations to conduct a campaign before it concludes.
